The statistics don´t lie. Denver is historically
the least "churched" metropolitan area in
America. At the same time, Denver is one of
the most active and physically fit metro areas
in the country. People live here because they want
to enjoy their weekends and time off in the mountains snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing, and a whole host of other activities. Why do so many churches think they need to compete with the Rocky Mountains when offering people opportunities to worship God? Why not encourage fellowship and community gathering and personal retreats and getaways on the weekends? Until now, church tradition has stood in the way, but something you´ll find out quickly at Encounter is that tradition takes a backseat to life transformation!
